To
reduce the number of 'temporary AMCA numbers' that CHEC previously
supplied in 2010 - riders who have previously registered with the
AMCA can use their old AMCA numbers (even if they are expired),
as we will have their details on our database if they have raced
with us over the last couple of years - this will also save you
having to register again with a temporary number. |
The
Unofficial CHEC
Championship is running again this year! Like last year is only
for a bit of fun between you and your mates. Hosed on RBJ's site.

Please
note that AMCA registration is mandatory
for 2011, so please register beforehand. Alternatively download AMCA
Registration Form and present the completed form on the day along
with your payment cheque (£15).
- This is a competition,
therefore all riders have to be registered with the AMCA prior to racing.
- Event entry will close on
the Thursday before the event. Any riders thereafter will effectively
be 'on the day riders' and due to increased admin work load will attract
a £10 premium on the entry fee.
- As time is limited for unregistered
riders they need to get their forms, payment and photo into the AMCA
asap!
- Download guide
to registration
- In the last 7 days we will
issue 'temporary numbers' to allow registration , however any rider
going this route will have to bring the registration form, photo and
payment to the event prior to racing.
- Late entries & temporary
AMCA numbers - can be obtained by emailing event
admin
- Don't forget that if you book
three events with us at one time we will pay your
AMCA registration costs, which will reduce the overall cost of
competing.

The Club History: C.H.E.C is a
small off road motorcycle club dedicated
to running Enduro and Hare & Hound style
events, using the area called the Chiltern Valley.
This broad area runs from Oxford in the West, going South to Marlow, High
Wycombe and Lane End, across to Wendover and back to Oxford.
Many of you will have ridden parts of the RUPP called the Ridge Way at
the foot of the Chiltern Hills, its good motorcycling land, not quite
up to Welsh standards, but never the less, up to 550ft of elevation, plenty
of large forest areas together with "set a side" land and good
road communications. Not bad considering we are only 25 miles as the crow
flies from the centre of London.
This certainly is an area of outstanding
natural beauty and yet is often overlooked by us motorcyclists and outdoor
types as just being too inhabited and too close to London to find suitable
venues. How wrong we are. There are a number of sites out there and plenty
of potential sites, mainly due to the large amount of private ownership
of the forests. These are regularly used for sporting game shooting, in
particular pheasant and partridge, which leaves these areas almost unused
for 8 months of the year.
The club mainly puts on Hare & Hound style events as these suit the
club and its riders. Fun 3 hour and 4 hour events, often with a break
in the middle for lunch and then back the opposite direction for the remainder
of the time. It certainly puts a smile on every ones face. The lunch break
allows the novice rider to rejoin after the regulatory mars bar and hamburger,
oh don’t forget the coffee ( we are dedicated competitors you know
) and lets the more expert fettle his bike for the next 2 hours of racing.
Solos and quads it doesn’t matter, young, old, female or male, we
have them all. Mainly 30’s to 50’s and mainly solos, mainly
sportsman or clubman standard, the name of the game is to enjoy your day,
be safe, and not be hassled by the MotoX red mist rider ( deeply frowned
on by the organizers who have been known to have a quiet word with a slightly
over enthusiastic rider ). Fun and enjoyable racing together with up to
4 hours competition time all for £ 45.00 is excellent value as well.
